I have a personal DVD collection of just over 1000 DVD’s and its still growing and unlikely to sto until a new form of technology comes out. Im running out of adequate shelving space and I would like to have a proper shelving solution for the whole lot and room for expansion. The only cabinets I have found so far go up to 400 DVD’s which is not enough. Do you have any suggestions please?
Wow – 1000 is huge! Are you storing the DVDs in their original cases? I believe there are slimline cases available which might let you get more on your shelves. Anybody else have some good ideas?
Amazon has quite a large selection of cd storage cabinets that hold as many as 1000 cd’s. He could ge two of the upright models and have more than enough room to expand.

It’s a nice article on DVD storage options. I do agree there are so many options available in the market today such as storage cabinets, racks, towers and hanging wall shelves etc. for storing DVDs. I myself have a huge collection of DVDs and I use rack with metal fabrication for storing them. It really looks gorgeous & it is in great demand these days. One can also buy mesh unit with sliding doors which is really useful and helps you in keeping your CD & DVD collection in an organized manner.
Great informative article on DVD Storage Cabinet. Accordign to me before purchasing the dvd storage cabinite it is must that we first consider how much room space we have to work with. But if we do not have lot of space its better to go for smaller ready made DVD cabinets which can be a perfect fit. Its also important to consider how many discs we have at present and how many approximately we may go for in future.
I need a DVD storage system for my room. I don’t have hundreds of DVDs like some poeple do but I really need a neater way of storing them. The thing is, a lot of DVDs cabinets look untidy or boring, in my opinion. I could do with one hidden behind closed doors.
